First Match of IPL
Today is first match of IPL in bangalore, lets start guessing about Winner?according to me Hydrabad will win the final
SACHIN - A GENUINE MATCH WINNER
Sachin has always been the mild and sober ambassador of the game hardly into any controversy ever. Saachin Tendulkar, The original and real Master Blaster. genius think the way that some other people cannot think. You have to give geniuses the room because they know the game better than anyone else. He has got fantastic character. If you have mental strength, half your battle is won. Then you just need certain skills to take you through. Sachin is blessed with both. When you combine mental strength with character you get a fighter- a strong desire, technique and the will to play the game in the right spirit. Sachin is a combination of both and that is explosive. His adrenaline pumps strongly when he walks out to bat with the noise of the crowds. You cant hear yourself think with that noise. If he was limited, he would score more double-centuries and even a couple of triple tons. From the moment he arrives at the crease you know something is going to happen. He loves to dominate and take the game to the opposition. His stroke-play has made him popular with crowds around the world, that is why he plays better away from home. He has been a doyen to the game. Given the adulation and the expectations, he has carried himself in an exemplary manner. Sachins strength is his focus. He decides what is good for his game. Once you are focused, half the battle is won. The gift that he has is rare not everyone has it. But he has not frittered it away. Sachin always keeps the opposition guessing. Kapil Dev, Gavaskar, Vengsarkar, Azhar, Dravid, Laxman, Ganguly are match-winners, but Sachin is greater than them because whether he scores or not, he keeps the opposition on their toes. The very fear of the rival bowlers makes Sachin a match-winner. Tendulkar holds the record for winning the maximum `Man of the Match' awards in one-day internationals. India has won almost 80 per cent of the one-dayers in which Sachin has scored a century. Sachin is an emperor in world cricket. Tendulkar has shone as the one man gladiator for India. SOMEONE once said "an expert is someone who knows more and more about less and less until he knows everything about nothing". The same applies to those experts who have conferred upon themselves the right to come hard upon someone who I would term a national asset. Tendulkar outweighs statistics and numbers. That is reflected in his altruistic and dedicated batting which thoroughly impresses even my granny. Tendulkar is a match-winner, although in a team of 11 when everyone gives his best it would be an overstatement, but the number of times that Sachin has put India within sniffing distance of a victory is a sign of his class and commitment. s it because he has not won any one-day finals in the last few years? But how many of these finals would we have reached but for Sachin? Does it not take a match-winner to win the matches which take us to the final?
Tagssachin - a genuine match winner

Indian team has great batting line up. I think they do less practice. Other teams do a lot of practice. Inidan players are spending more time in commercials than in practice.

Do we actually required a coach for our cricket team
HEY friends ......Iwant all great minds working on this and just give your 2-3 min for the comment ....
lets start friends......
Cricket goes on...
India might have been out of the world cup 2007 but the world cup is still on. After we lost to Srilankans, it seems as if cricket is no longer a game of interest for us. Undoubtedly our team of so called worldclass players fell like a bunch of spineless cards but lets not forget the spirit of world cup. Let the best team win and let the deserving teams move in Super 8. Bangladesh was so optimistic right from when the world cup started, it reflected in their captain's speech , it reflected in their body language and all the elements came together to make it true.It was not mere coincidence, they sweat in practice and score in matches.Millions of hands that were raised in praying for our team to play and win but all those prayers were left unanswered as nobody played. Its a shame for Indian cricket. The team who was once worshipped has now been the subject of hate and dismal. Its really sad to see how our team has derogated from the glorious past. Millions of fans world wide could not believe that our chances in moving to Super 8 group lies in the hands of Burmuda and Bangladesh!
Ironically our cricket is no longer a game, its so much commercialised and hyped that the players have lost the spirit of fighting and winning. The spirit of glory with victory and degection with loss no longer bothers them, as they are world class players with million dollar contracts in their booty. Its time we should really sit back and think, is it worth all the drama and speculation, do we really need to hype and pray for our cricketers, do these players really deserve so much love, attention or hatred. I dont want to go into what's right and what's wrong, dos and donts, who is responsible- sytem, players or public; All I want to convey to all the cricket fans is to stop thinking about Indian team and our loss as they dont deserve it and there's still a lot of cricket still left in the world. Enjoy Srilanka and bangladesh play. See cricket in its naive form when they play, fight and win. Enjoy the tactics of Ausies, discuss on the gameplan of South Africa. There's still so much left to enjoy in fair cricket.
Tears are all we got!!
Cross Posted from Synkarma.comIt was the game the entire country was looking forward to. At 1900 Hrs Indian Standard Time, the so called Men in Blue marched into the cricket ground in an all important game against their neighbors and arch rivals in the recent past, the Sri Lankans. Like everyone else in the country, I was also quite excited by the thought of a win and the country making it to the Super 8s or the next level of the tournament. However just like the pictures above the specters of losses in important games came back to haunt us and destroy the dreams of 1.1 billion people. This is India's worst performance ever in any world cup, two huge losses in a space of 1 week is a little more that what an ever optimistic cricket fan can digest.
What is funny is I am still unable to digest the fact that India is out of the cup. Since morning yesterday I could sense an air of optimism and confidence in all the people around me. Everyone was fairly confident that the Indian team will snatch victory and see themselves through to the next round.
When I left office at 2230 hrs, I asked our guard Satyendra if he thought India will win. Sri Lanka were batting at that time and sort of struggling, so he replied yes India will definitely win, but quickly added, "Even if we win this match so what, to win the world cup you have to win every match hence, and I don't think our team has it in them to go all the way so it hardly matters". How quickly perceptions had changed in a matter of two weeks. I echoed Satyendra's feelings too, but still prayed to let India win this one match and then the Indian team will come into their own.
Sri Lanka set India a target of 255 to win, 255 in 50 overs for a batting line up which boasted of a combined experience of more that 1000 matches should have been attainable. But that was not to be. Wickets fell in a heap, to careless shots. The bowlers gained in confidence, but the hopes of an Indian victory were still there. The mind and heart were just unable to accept the fact of an Indian loss. At 112 for 6, when Dhoni fell all hopes were shattered. No one could rescue us now. It was nearing 0200 hrs and I thought I will retire to my room and give my tired and dejected neurons some rest. A tear rolled down my eye as I closed my eyes. The TV outside was still blaring, but the sound was getting fainter. It was getting drowsy and quiet until I fell asleep and so did India's chances in the World Cup.
Now What: Sack the Coach, Dravid should step down, Selection Committee should resign.
There ain't much that one wishes to say at this moment, the Indian team has just shattered our faith and confidence. There is too just too much money and fame that is given to these guys and no one deserves so much recognition.India needs to move on and show that it can excel in other sports too. BCCI should take cue form the PCB and the entire selection committee should resign. Dravid should take full responsibility for the defeat and should step down as captain. He deserves to be smacked for saying that "India doesn't deserve to win the world cup", check here http://worldcup.indiatimes.com/articleshow/1802837.cms.
This has been a big let down and a major loss to the economy. One wonders why this match wasn't fixed, it had every reason to be fixed and even the ICC would have wanted India to continue in the tournament.
Hold ur breath... heat is on.. game is fall'n into our hands..!!
Tendulkar to Tharanga, out Lbw!!Tendulkar pitches it up on the middle and leg, the ball swings into the left hander, Tharanga shuffles across and looks to flick it away, misses, rapped on the pads and that was plumb in front, the prodigious movement that Sachin Tendulkar has been getting has worked U Tharanga lbw b S Tendulkar 64(90) 4s-6 6s-0
With this wicket the game has reached to the stage where, decision of indian captain will play imp role to decide it any further. Well i would say the bowling changes that Dravid has made are quit brilliant so far. Match is crawling to indian side, and if Dravid n company can check the run rate at the moment, will provide india a better position to hold up the match.
Indian batsmen will play the major role to win the match, and if our 'not so good' bowling attack can holdup Lankian's behind 230, we will certainly be in a good position. Dravid n company should concentrate on keeping the run rate low enough to encourage the batsmen's frustration i.e. our bowlers should not try for wickets rather bound batsmen to make a mistake certainly by keeping the run rate low.
Game is hanging up at the middle and can fall to either side.. We can only pray and predict, for our tigers at the front. Lets hope that our batsmen will show us at least glimpse of the last match..
World cup fever is on
Now a days there is world cup fever in India. We have a good cricket team. one of the best always. Let us see what this world cup has for us.Davison leads the Canadian Charge, Big day for India
Canada have been set a target of 364 in the current world cup match. Unsurmountable for any team, specially against the New Zealand pace attack, but the counter attack from Canada is astounding. At this time they are 90-1 in 12 overs. Davison, their captain has hit a rampaging 52 of just 31 balls. I was watching Davison play and my my, was he playing like a man possesed. Tremendous batting, made for extremely good watching. In just about 19 hrs from now, India will take on Sri-Lanka in their do or die encounter. The fortunes of several million people will be riding on an excellent Indian performance, a performance in which they out-class the Lankans. The Lankans are looking in brilliant form uptil now. They have a great mix of experience (Jayasuriya, Vass, Murali, Attapatu) and some young players.
The Indian bowling is also weaker than Sri-Lanka, and I think Agarkar should really pull up his socks. He's been the weak link in all matches till now. Even the Bermudans could hit him for a few sixers.
Saturdays match between Australia and South Africa will also be an interesting contest since the winner will take 2 points to the super 8s and Australia will want to be that team. Meanwhile England will slug it out with Kenya, with the winner moving to the Super 8s. With Ireland making it to the super 8s, can Kenya be the other minnow in the Super 8s. Very interesting two days of cricket in the offing, but the India-SL match will be the most talked about. It's getting interesting!!
Tagssrilanka, india, interesting, canada, davison, kenya

WC 2007 - If History Repeats Itself then the Cup is Ours.
India down in the dumps, Sack Dravid, Sack all the players. Indias shock defeat to Bangladesh evoked strong reactions across the country as this outcome was certainly not expected. The Indian team has a lot of money riding on them and not too forget the expectations of hysterical fans for whom cricket is a like a religion. The good show against Bermuda has lifted our spirits a bit and we all hope and pray that India would defeat Sri Lanka in the crucial match on Friday. This time its really important that Rama beats Ravana. Now its hard to know whom the gods favor, but one thing is for certain that history is on our side and if it repeats itself this time then the team of 83 would definetly get some company.
How you might ask, well heres what makes us think so ;
Fact 1
Year 1981
1. Prince Charles got married
2. Liverpool crowned Champions of Europe
3. Australia lost the Ashes
2 years later India won the world Cup!!!
Year 2005
1. Prince Charles got married
2. Liverpool crowned Champions of Europe
3. Australia lost the Ashes
2 years later will India win the world Cup ?????
Fact 2
1982 Football World Cup won by Italy
1983 Cricket World Cup won by India
2006 Football World Cup won by Italy
2007 Cricket World Cup: INDIA ???
If one brings the science of numerology into play then another interesting observation is that the Indian Team has with them the 3,6,9 effect. As per numerology the sequence of 3,6,9 is very lucky and whenever this sequence comes into force for an individual/group then all their desires are fulfilled. India possesses this sequence because it gained Independence in 1947(1+9+4+7 = 21, 2+1=3). 2007 is the 60th(6+0=6) year of its independence and 2007 adds up to 9. So this year should be a lucky year for India.
Well if Indian cricket is all about being optimistic, then this is as optimistic as you can get. So heres wishing our men in blue all the very best for the crucial encounter against Sri Lanka and the rest of the tournament.
Into the Second Week

The 2007 ICC Cricket World Cup is at its most interesting stage yet. The matches have produced one clutch finish - the Ireland-Zimbabwe tie became the precursor to the knockout of the #4 ranked team in the world.
Pakistan finished their World Cup campaign losing both their Group D matches resulting in their exit from the tournament. The knock-out prompted the 2nd highest run aggregator in the world to retire from international cricket and it is unknown to what extent the team's loss was a root cause for Bob Woolmer's death, the biggest tragedy to hit international cricket this year.
As the tournament moves into its second week, there are several test playing teams on the bubble. By itself this isn't an unexpected outcome. There are 10 test playing countries as per the ICC and only 8 places in the Super 8. The interesting part is that the non test playing member of group D appears to be on the verge of moving on.
The other group with three test playing teams was never really thought of as the group of death. A bunch of teenagers from Bangladesh showed up and changed all that. They've already overrun their "mighty" neighbor in their group opener. Tomorrow they take on ex-World Champions - Sri Lanka. A Bangla win tomorrow will make Friday's India-Sri Lanka match the second knock-out match of the tournament.
Who will the India fan root for tomorrow?
A tense Second Week awaits.
Ohh my my ! what a show.. They have created History....
49.6 Hemp to Dravid, SIX!!, full and straight on the stumps, Dravid makes room outside the leg stump and smacks it away over long on for a massive hit!!! high and handsome, Rahul Dravid finishes the innings in grand style.."Highest Total in World Cup history"
Is anyone out there ?? i wanted to shout.. and shout loud enough to fire my voice right there in the dressing room of "Team India"..
Ho Ha India.. Ayaa India !!

Ho Ha India.. Ayaa India !!
Thats more then someone might have thought of.. 413 is a huuuuge total, but is it good enough to take them the lead they wanted and needed more then anything right now ? and the answer is YESSSSSSSSSSSSS...., our boys has done a really really great job here at 'port of spain'.. really buzzed of the red carpet of Caribbean soil.
Hat's off !
This is called a real team work by "tigers.." all of them palyed well enough. let's hope our blowers can pull bermudian back to the line of 150.

396 -5, 6 balls to go. Well Played India
Yuvraj is going bang, bang, bang and India is set to break a few records. It should break the record of the highest score in World Cup matches and just needs 2 sixes more to equal the maximum sixes in any world cup match, which was made by SA a few days back in the match against Netherlands.India should end with a score of 410+ and that would also be India's highest score ever in One Day Internationals.
Well Played India , let's bowl out Bermuda for less than 100.
What's DADA doing there ?? Playing against India ??
The way in which he is playing, shows like he is playing against India rather than for - something like a self goal in football. I have never been a Dada basher even when he was at worst! because lack of form at that time seemed unintentional so should be pardoned. But now I did not understand why he played slowly in the last match or this one !Ki Korta hai DADA, Bhisan phast hone ka... jarorat hoi, nahin to petrol dhak ke mor ja..!!
